Week 1 of Whole 30 went really well. I didn’t struggle as much as I thought I would, mainly because I follow a Paleo diet, however the last month before starting this I was eating more sweets and fried foods then I normally do.
I had some cravings for sugar at night on days 2 and 3, but I drank some water and had an apple and was fine. I also planned out my week of meals a few days out so that helped keep me on track. Overall I’m feeling great and can already see a difference especially in my mid section. My clothes are fitting better as well. I’m a tad tired at times, however I’m not sure if it’s from my eating or an iron deficiency. I have to get a check up soon to see where my levels are at, but hoping switching up my eating habits will help.
So here’s what I ate this past week. I have no problem eating the same thing over and over because for one it’s easier and it’s cheaper not to have to buy a bunch of different foods.
Breakfast
Eggs
Bacon
Sweet Potato Hash
Eggs mixed with leftover seasoned meat mixture from night before.
I’d usually have a mixture of any of the above. If I’d make sweet potato hash (sweet potato, onions, peppers) I’d make enough for a day or two.
Lunch
Tuna Boats
Egg and Guacamole Boats
Burger Patty with a fried egg and avocado
Leftovers from dinner
Dinner
Stuffed Peppers
Twice Baked Potato
Steak with shallots/garlic and sweet potato side
Grass Fed Burger Patty with Guacamole and spicy kale chips.
Snacks ( If needed)
RX Bar
Chomp Sticks
Hard Boiled Eggs
Apples
Technically I’m doing a modified Whole 30 meal plan because I do have my Shakeology daily which is a no on the program. It’s always been a good way to get my vitamins and love what it does for my body so I am keeping track of everything I eat and how I feel. When I do my next round eventually, I’ll maybe do without and see what my results are. I’m also doing a 30 day workout program with this as well so I can’t wait to see what my results will be at the end of January. If you have any questions about Whole 30 or some of the foods I’m eating, comment below or email me at [email protected] I’d love to help! I’m also documenting my journey on social media so follow me below!
