Hi I’m Kristen!

I’m a health and fitness coach teaching women how to thrive on a Primal diet lifestyle. I’m very passionate about health and fitness and it has led me to learn as much as I can about preventative health.

I’m obsessed with traveling, trying new foods, and cats. I just adopted 2 kittens, Simba and Tiger.  I still miss deep dish pizza from Chicago from time to time.

I was born in New York, lived in the Chicago area most of my life, and now I’m here in Austin, TX

I started following a Paleo diet a few years ago after I got a blood clot a day after running the Chicago Marathon. That was my last race in 2015. After multiple tests, I found out I had Iron-deficiency Anemia. I was put on blood thinners for a few months, taken off birth control and then had 2 iron infusions to get my levels back to normal. Then had to get treated for varicose veins for the 2nd time.

I did the Whole 30 for the first time January 2017 and it really opened up my eyes to how food really fuels the body. As much as I thought I knew, this just confirmed it. I follow a mostly whole foods, however I might have a doughnut or slice of pizza here and there well because, balance. But in the end, eating healthy and clean has made me feel amazing and full of energy.

I recently completed my Primal Health Coach certification and also received training through IIN. Also completed Precision Nutrition.

I do believe that there is not one diet fits all for everyone. I also believe that whole unprocessed foods is the way to go, but sometimes getting there is a struggle, especially when you have been eating the basic standard American diet for years. Trust me that was me too. Cereal, snacks, bread, sugar, candy, soda, you name it.

As much as I love to help others make healthy food choices, I’m big on fitness as well.  I have an online community I run with my sister Michelle (fitmamahansen) and a group for those that want to take their fitness up a notch with more accountability and a monthly 21 day boot camp.
